Monkeywood have had some fantastic news this week! Not only have we been granted funding for the Maine Road tour through the Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts initiative, but we have sold out 3 nights at The Lowry so have had to add TWO extra dates!

Monkeywood Theatre produced Maine Road, a play written by co-founder Sarah McDonald Hughes. The play, shortlisted for the Alfred Bradley Bursary Award 2009, the most prestigious radio drama prize in the country, was premiered at the 2009 24:7 Theatre Festival in Manchester.
